André den Exter

André den Exter (1966) is an Associate Professor of Health Law at the Erasmus School of Law, Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands. André holds a Ph.D. in law (diss. Health care law-making in Central and Eastern Europe). He was the holder of a Jean Monnet Chair of European Union Health Law (2014-2020) and has held several visiting (associate) professorships in international and European health law, including at Danylo Medical University Lviv (Ukraine), the National School of Public Health at Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Portugal), and the University of Bologna (Italy). He has published frequently on a wide range of health law topics. Outside academia, he is a member of a regional Medical Disciplinary Board.
